Following a concert to a packed house at a London club (Nells Jazz and Blues), her song In America, about immigration in the 19th century, was described in a review as "simple and beautiful". Introducing the song, Richard Niles said:
"To write a song with lyrics like this is really a special thing. Andreja has a fabulous career ahead of her. If there is anybody from a record company in the audience ...you should call her up".
Niles is a producer, composer and arranger who has worked with Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Dusty Springfield and many others on over 40 worldwide hits.
Another track, What is home?, was a finalist in a nationwide song competition in aid of Simon. (Simon provides care, accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk.)
Her composition Waiting both has been played some 1400 times on myspace. Dermod Moore of Hot Press is among those who have said they love it. She has received a number of offers to collaborate from producers and musicians and has also been contacted by individuals working in the media, all of whom have heard her track Waiting Both online.
Performing alone with her guitar in the Prince of Wales in North-West London, she completely silenced the pub with her song, I'll be alright and left the audience shouting for more when she finished her set.
Her acoustic style is down-to-earth. A highly original singer-songwriter, Andreja's lyrics are accessible yet woven with ambiguities, subtlety and insight. Andreja succeeds in stirring emotions and minds with her music, her lyrics and with her voice.*
